IEE Members’ Show at Savoy Place

The Institution of Electrical Engineers has since re-branded itself as the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).  At the show’s opening, I remember the wife of one of the Council Members remarking ‘what on earth does he mean?’, or something to that effect; that was very satisfying.  Possibly it was this photo-screenprint of The Coliseum in Glasgow’s Eglington Street, before it mysteriously went up in flames.

Next door to the IET building is the Courtauld Gallery, at Somerset House, and on the other side the Savoy Hotel. Coliseum was in good company.
