Copperplate photogravure for comparison with the rotogravure-screened Troon 2024
The halftones in a copperplate photogravure are created by placingan aquatint on the plate prior to it being etched. It is the combination of the carbon tissue transferred photo-resist and the aquatint which creates the continous tone qualities of the final print.
